think4D – FRIESENS Employee Directed Giving to Food Bank

On behalf of the Employee-Owners of Friesens Corporation, we are pleased to announce that we recently donated $3,700 to the Rhineland Food Bank. Attached is a picture of the cheque presentation – pictured is Ang Stoesz accepting the cheque from employee-owner, Frances Brady. (Please note that the attached photo was taken before physical distancing was established).
One of our core values is to help build a stronger community. We invest in the community through both cash donations and by supporting our employees as coaches, youth leaders, fundraisers, and many other important volunteer roles.
Friesens Corporation sponsors numerous initiatives every year from the local level to the national level. We focus on literacy, culture, education, environment, history, care, and recreation.
Through our “Employee-Directed Giving Program” each employee voted for which local organizations they felt would benefit the most from Friesens charitable giving. The donation amount is correlated to the number of votes the recipient organization received.
Chad Friesen, President and CEO said, “The food bank is more important than ever. While our overall local economy has remained relatively stable through the pandemic, there are certainly more people feeling financial strain. The Rhineland Food Bank is a lifeline for times like this and our Employee-Owners are proud to support their work”
