Package Design, 3D part scanning, and Graphic Design are available to create a new look, or modify an existing design. Our specialized engineering team optimizes each package for our unique thermoforming process.
think4D specializes in plastic packaging, including blisters, clamshells, lids, folding cartons, and tip-ons, while continually researching new packaging design opportunities.
Sculpting adds a dynamic new element of “touch and feel” design, forming tactile features directly into the packaging itself! These eye-catching details bring new dimension, product understanding, and excitement to the graphics and product.
A DigiProof illustrates specific perspectives and snapshots of the recommended Sculpting for customer input and approval prior to production.
Digital Prototypes are printed on a digital press and formed on a 1-up prototype mold using laboratory forming and trimming equipment. These prototypes are an excellent representation of a packaging concept, but all ink colors must be converted to CMYK, and additional print decoration features are not available.
Production Prototypes, or High Definition Prototypes, are printed on an HD Flexo press and formed on a 1-up prototype mold using laboratory forming and trimming equipment. These prototypes will be color accurate, and can include additional print decorations by request.
Prototyping is an important part of the development process, however they are not designed to be 100% indicative of the final outcome of a full-format production run and should not be tested for compliance against all relevant standards. In these cases, a Production Qualification run can be arranged on production equipment.
